Product Description

The 2023 1 oz Tudor Beasts Yale of Beaufort Gold Coin marks another installment in the ongoing Tudor Beasts Series by the Royal Mint of England. This release features the depiction of a familiar and significant creature. Those who have followed the prior Queen’s Beast Series from the mint will readily recognize its importance. The Yale of Beaufort, embodying a powerful historic British lineage, stands as one of the few mythical heraldic beasts within the realm of British heraldry.

Key Features:

  • The coins are shipped in plastic flips, protective tubes containing 10 coins, or Monster Boxes containing 100 coins.
  • Represents the second Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) release in the Tudor Beasts Series.
  • Consists of 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold in BU condition.
  • It holds a face value of 100 Pound sterling and is officially endorsed by the British government.
  • Queen Elizabeth II is elegantly portrayed on the obverse side.
  • Showcases the Yale of Beaufort on the reverse side.

Each coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The individual 1 oz gold coins in this series are securely enclosed in plastic flips. For larger quantities, they are packaged within protective tubes containing ten coins or Monster Boxes containing 100 coins. Each Monster Box is composed of 10 tubes, with each tube holding ten coins.

Among the ten heraldic beasts commissioned by King Henry VIII to safeguard the moat bridge leading to Hampton Court, his favored royal residence was the Yale of Beaufort. A mythical creature, the yale blends the body of a goat with boar tusks on its face and a lion’s tail.

On the obverse side of the 2023 1 oz Tudor Beasts Yale of Beaufort Gold Coin, Queen Elizabeth II is dignifiedly portrayed. This depiction, crafted by Jody Clark in 2015, captures Her Majesty in right-profile relief. This fifth-generation portrait depicts the Queen at the age of 89, adorned with the George IV State Diadem.

The reverse of the 2023 1 oz Tudor Beasts Yale of Beaufort Gold Coin presents a fresh interpretation of the potent Yale of Beaufort. In this design, the Yale stands on its hind legs, with its front legs resting on the Arms of Jane Seymour.

“I recently purchased silver bars from MBE and the exchange went wonderfully. The staff was polite and helpful, the product was exactly what I expected, and I had it in my hands in just a few days after ordering. I would definitely buy from MBE again.”
“I was very pleased with my dealings with Midwest Bullion Exchange. I did not feel rushed on the phone with the representative and felt free to ask any questions. My father who has dealt with a lot of other companies that deal in precious metals was also impressed with this business.”
