Design

The image of the Native American, adorning the 1 oz Sunshine Buffalo Silver Round, was originally crafted by sculptor James Earle Fraser in 1913. It made its debut on the Indian Head Nickel, featuring the portrait of a Native American chieftain. Adjacent to this striking image, “Liberty” graces the round.
